Thanks to all who have jumped on board for our cookout to feed the homeless and hungry at Pioneer Park on Saturday, July 11. Please ask a friend to join us. Couple of housekeeping items.

 

1. We will begin to setup on the sidewalk at the North end of the park at 3:15 p.m. We need to start cooking as close to 3:45 as possible. We can't operate on Utah time for this event because the permits are only good for certain times. Please be on time!

 

2. Everyone please wear at hat, visor or do-rag (bandana). You cannot serve food without one.

 

3. Al Rocek: Thanks so much for rounding up the praise band for this. We will need you guys to be acoustic that day due to the fact that if you plug in the permit costs a good bit more. According to the City of Salt Lake, you also have to face south when you play, which is good since we are serving at the north end.

 

4. I have in my possession a temporary food serving permit and will have a freedom of speech permit by tomorrow, so we are officially legal.

 

5. If you have gently used shoes or clothing you want to donate please contact Katie Simpson or Kent Partridge...or just bring them to the park.
