Rev. Lynn Miller Jackson
Rev. Lynn Miller Jackson has been in ministry with the Mountain Sky Conference (former Rocky Mountain Conference) since 2014. In her initial appointment, Pastor Lynn became the first female Senior Pastor of Scott United Methodist Church in Denver, Colorado. She served at Scott UMC for five (5) years bringing forth more collaborative ministry for meaningful engagement and seeking greater impact on the congregation and community. As an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church, Pastor Lynn embraces the itinerant nature of her call and will go where God calls her to serve.
On July 1, 2019, Pastor Lynn became the first female Senior Pastor of Hilltop UMC.
Prior to ministry, Pastor Lynn had a successful career in commercial property management. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, she managed a large portfolio of commercial projects across the United States. She was also an active member of Cascade United Methodist Church and volunteered with various non-profit organizations engaging for local and global impact.
Pastor Lynn is married to Mark Jackson. They share a blended family of five adult children and two grandsons. Pastor Lynn earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Mathematics from Emory University and a Master of Divinity degree from the Candler School of Theology.
Leigh Anne Duff - Administrative Assistant
A life-long Methodist, Leigh Anne has been a member of Hilltop since October of 2000. Leigh Anne majored in Foreign Languages at Rhodes College in Memphis. She was named Administrative Assistant at Hilltop in November of 2010. Leigh Anne’s professional background was in radio and advertising. Her other activities include a passion for music and the theatre. She is a flutist and also has played clarinet and saxophone in pit orchestras in Herriman and South Jordan.
Roberta Shimensky - Director, Music & Arts Ministries
Roberta is currently Music Director and Organist at Hilltop United Methodist Church, where she leads the Chancel Choir and the Hilltop Gospel Choir. She was formerly on faculty of Westminster College as conductor of the Westminster Women’s Choir, Westminster Singers, Westminster Chamber Orchestra, and instructor of piano. Career highlights include: Assistant Conductor/Pianist, Kennedy Center Imagination Celebration of Salt Lake, world premiere of Libby Larsen’s opera Dreaming Blue, 2002; Conducting Fellow, Dennis Keene Choral Festival 2000-03; guest conductor, Salt Lake Symphony; Utah Opera Chorusmaster, Madama Butterfly, 2001; member, Utah Opera Chorus; performances as keyboardist for the former OPUS Chamber Orchestra and Salt Lake Symphony; accompanist for Utah Opera’s “Opera-in-the-Schools.”
Kathy Wheeler - Treasurer
Kathy is from the Finger Lakes region of New York state. She has a degree in Business Administration from Binghamton University. She has previously worked for Carrier Corporation in Syracuse, NY and Salt Lake City. After working in Orlando, FL and East Hartford, CT she retired to Utah in 2006. She has been active in the Chancel Choir, UMW, and Intermountain Singles group.
Kathy has an MBA from New York Institute of Technology and an MA in Religious Studies from Hartford Seminary.
