What to Expect When You Visit

Hilltop is an inclusive community of hospitality, healing, help, and hope, leading hearts to Christ.

We know visiting a new church for the first time can be a bit scary. The information below may help you feel less anxious about joining us this Sunday.

What time is church?

Join us for Sunday worship at 10:30 am in the Sanctuary located just to the right of the main doors or straight ahead when using the north entrance.

Is the building ADA accessible? Yes. ADA parking and building access are available at the north entrance.

What do I wear? You are welcome to come in suits and dresses or shorts or jeans. We do not expect any certain level or style of dress and want you to feel comfortable.

What about my kids?

Children's Sunday School is every Sunday at 9:30am, upstairs in room 306. Children's Sunday School will be complete the season on June 4, and will break for summer. It will resume September 17, 2023.

The Nursery is available Sunday mornings from 9:30 am - 11:45 am.  Infants ages birth through 3 years are welcome in the Nursery.

All children are welcome to worship with their parents. We have crayons, Magna Doodles, and other activities for children, if needed, during worship. Ask for these at the Welcome Center in the lobby.

What is the style of worship? We worship in ways that honor God. An overarching theme is woven through each element of the service. We encourage participation through responsive readings, congregational singing, prayer, and more. Worship leaders, bulletins and/or projected on screens provide guidance during worship. A variety of vocal and instrumental ensembles and soloists offer a rich and diverse blend of musical styles from Renaissance to spirituals, modern gospel and praise, as well as traditional hymns and sacred music.

Is communion served? Holy Communion is usually celebrated the first Sunday of each month. All are welcome at the Lord's Table. You need not be a member of Hilltop or any church to partake of this holy sacrament. The Methodist church uses bread and grape juice to represent the body and blood of Christ. Gluten-free wafers are available for those who may have sensitivities.

Hilltop Orientation If you are interested in learning more about Methodism and Hilltop or joining Hilltop, we meet every other month at 9:00 am in the Ada Room for two Sundays of orientation. All are welcome.

We welcome you to stop by anytime Monday through Thursday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm to see our space and get more information. Or feel free to call the office at 801-571-5777, if you have questions beyond these.
